Amanda is nervous about going to her first day of school. Her mother kisses her center palm and tells her that "whenever you feel lonely and need a little loving from home, just press your hand to your cheek and think, 'Mommy loves you. Mommy loves you.'" After she tells her that, Amanda feels ready to go to her first day of school.  
This story is based off of the children's book The Kissing Hand.

    I think I understand what you were attempting but it seems to me that the order of the images makes your story confusing. What about changing the order to the last image (backpack-going off to school), then the hands on the face (mommy loves you), to the open palm with the heart?
